Au Pairs live with you in your home and their weekly rate includes room and board.

A Nanny is an employee and is paid an agreed hourly rate. Dream Nannies range from Bronze Nannies $26 per hour to Platinum Nannies at $35+ per hour. The average wage for an Auckland Nanny is currently $32 per hour.

Home-Based Educators charge approximately $10 per child per hour.

The table below is based on an Auckland family with a 1 year old and a 3 year old who need 35 hours of childcare per week.

Subsidies

Dream Childcare can help you to access WINZ Childcare Subsidies as well as ECE subsidies. Families are eligible for WINZ Childcare subsidies if your gross annual household income is less than $140,000 per annum. ECE subsidies are paid at approximately $80 per week per 3 or 4 year old child.
