Our Placement Process
Your Placement Consultant will listen to your needs and match your family with a Nanny who shares your values.
Our boutique-style selection process ensures long-lasting and successful Nanny placements.
We take care of all of the legal employment documents and can administer your Nanny's payroll for you.
1. Register here
2. We will call you to say "Hi"
3. We will search our database, advertise the role and send you profiles
4. You meet and interview potential Nannies
5. You offer your preferred Nanny a job
We then sort out the hard stuff like the Employment agreement, payroll and tax.
Permanent Nannies are employed to work in your home between one and five weekdays per week on a long-term basis.
Our Nannies are sought-after childcare professionals of all ages and personalities who share a passion for educating children and a positive, friendly attitude.
We listen to your needs carefully and interview each of our Nannies in-person so that we can match your Nanny's values, personality and teaching and learning passions with that of your Family's. This boutique-style selection process is unique to Dream Nanny, and helps to ensure happy, long-lasting and successful Nanny placements.
All Dream Nannies have a minimum level of childcare experience and/or childcare qualifications, a current first aid certificate, a full and clean drivers licence and their own car.
10 weeks to 10 months
If you need a Nanny for over 10 weeks yet less than 10 months then we can match your family with a Fixed Term Nanny. Fixed Term Contracts work well for families who need a Nanny for longer than a temp assignment but don't need a permanent employee.
If you find a Nanny privately, we can support you with payroll, interview and reference checks, a standard employment agreement, the Dream Education Programme and access to Ministry of Education and WINZ subsidies.
Let us make paying your Nanny easy and take the pain away from weekly calculations of ACC, PAYE, KiwiSaver annual leave and sick pay balances.
Our Placement Consultants can facilitate your Nanny’s annual appraisal review and update the employment agreement and job description on your behalf. Contact us to find out more.
Ministry of Education and WINZ Subsidies
We are a licensed service provider for the Ministry Education and Work and Income and we can access the below subsidies for eligible Dream Families.
20 ECE Hours
All Kiwi children aged between 3 and 4 qualify for 20 hours of subsidised early childhood education each week. Enroll on our Dream Education Programme and choose your ECE hours of up to six hours a day and 20 hours a week. If your child attends more than one ECE service, you can split your hours across the services.
Work and Income
You may be eligible for Work and Income childcare subsidies for your Nanny on the Dream Education Programme. These subsidies are means tested and vary depending on your family’s circumstances and the number of children you have.
Do you have multiples and an older child under five? Home Help is a non income tested subsidy that we can help you access. Eligible families receive up to $4,000 in the first 12 months.
