Dream Education Programme
Kia ora Whānau! Looking for a Nanny? At Dream Childcare, we prioritize educating young minds with our Dream Education Programme. This program supports your little tamariki as they grow and learn in their home and local community environments. It is based on the principle that playing and participating in real-life experiences will enhance independence. Our native play encourages tamariki's desire to explore their environment
Our Philosophy
At Dream we are all about making family life easier.
We believe that children should be treated as individuals. This enables them to develop learning dispositions that make them competent, confident learners, and communicators. Children need to be healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.
We offer children opportunities to embrace the wider community through the physical and natural world around them.
Dream Nannies provide a secure, safe and stimulating environment to promote your child's learning and development within a small group of children. Your child will experience everyday life situations, allowing them to learn valuable life skills, so they feel nurtured and have a sense of belonging.
Parents/guardians and whānau, Visiting Teachers and Dream Nannies, we will deliver a programme supporting each child’s learning and development. This includes providing opportunities for gaining knowledge, training and quality resources.
Striving to respect and understand people from various cultures and their values is important. It allows us to foster open communication among tamariki, staff, and parents/whānau. This enables close links with home, service, and the wider community.
We aim to show our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and New Zealand's bi-cultural heritage. Additionally, we acknowledge all other cultural identities within our service.
Respect ourselves and others
Our focus is on building respectful, positive, collaborative reciprocal relationships. Whanaungatanga remains at the heart of our service with tamariki, whānau, Dream staff, and outside support services.
As a team we aim to provide a premium service for our whanau and their tamariki. Visiting Teachers support you Nanny by monthly visits whilst our Placement Team offer online assistance.
Maintaining respectful, open communication with each other, tamariki, and whānau is essential. Engaging in critically reflective learning and practices enables us to ensure that tamariki’s needs, interests, and abilities are recognized and supported through play. Additionally, we organize monthly children events to encourage the children to develop a positive attitude towards nature.
We see whānau as a vital part of the tamariki’s world and work to ensure they feel welcome, valued and respected. A Home-Based Early Childhood Environment encourages tamariki, especially infants, to establish a secure relationship. From there, they can independently explore and investigate their world.
Is my child eligible?
The Dream Education programme is available to all Families with a Nanny caring for any little ones under the age of five in Auckland.
If you already have a Nanny and wish to join the fun give us a call and we can look at options to sign your Family and Nanny up.
Your home will need to meet a few ministry requirements too. Some examples of these include providing a fully-fenced outdoor play area, having a first-aid kit available, securing all heavy furniture, and ensuring all chemicals and medicines are locked away.
