Full Time Nanny
Region: Auckland
Suburb: Pt Chevalier
Role: Nanny
Type of Work: Full Time Nanny
Rate: $33+
Job Description:
Mon-Fri (35hrs)
Start Date:
ASAP
Hours:
8.30am-3.30pm
Children:
B4 (as of March 2026)
Description:
This warm and supportive family is seeking an experienced and proactive Nanny to care for their energetic and affectionate 4-year-old son. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Nanny who enjoys planning engaging days, getting outdoors, and supporting a child’s individual development.
B4 is a happy, active little boy who thrives on movement, exploration, and hands-on play. He loves cars, dinosaurs, nature, and anything that involves getting messy and having fun. He is currently non-verbal, and the family is in the process of seeking an assessment for potential neurodiversity. Above all, the family’s priority is that he feels happy, secure, and well cared for.
The successful nanny will take a lead role in planning stimulating and enriching days, both at home and out in the community. B4 attends regular therapy sessions during the week, which the nanny will be responsible for taking him to. He would also benefit from outings such as trips to the zoo, playgrounds, and activity centres, providing opportunities for social interaction in a more manageable environment than daycare.
B4 currently attends daycare part-time; however, the family is open to transitioning away from this and would value a nanny who can confidently structure his days with a balance of activities, rest, and routine. The family is very supportive and will cover all costs associated with outings, activities, and resources.
There is also a younger sibling (6 months old) in the home who will be cared for separately, so the role will focus solely on B4. No care for the baby is required.
B4 can be selective with food but is open to trying new things, making this a great role for a nanny who enjoys encouraging positive mealtime experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing attentive, nurturing care tailored to B4’s individual needs
- Planning and facilitating engaging daily activities, both at home and out in the community
- Transporting B4 to therapy sessions and outings
- Supporting social development in a calm and positive way
- Preparing simple, nutritious meals and encouraging food exploration
- Creating a safe, fun, and structured environment
The Ideal Nanny Will Have:
- Experience working with young children, ideally with neurodiverse needs (highly advantageous)
- A proactive, creative, and energetic approach
- Confidence in planning daily activities and outings independently
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- A full driver’s licence and confidence in transporting children
If you are interested in this position and feel you'd be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you! Please either email Isabel your CV (Isabel@dream.co.nz), or apply directly online.
Other:
- ECE qualification or interest in study required
- Family has a car for Nanny's use
- Full and clean driver's license required

Mon-Fri (40hrs)
Start Date:
10 April 2026
Flexible
Hours:
8am-4pm
Flexible start/finish times
Children:
B3.5, B7, G10
Description:
This busy and welcoming family have recently relocated from Canada and are seeking an experienced, kind, and emotionally mature Nanny to support their household and care for their three children. The family value warmth, honesty, and patience, and are looking for a Nanny who will integrate naturally into their home and provide reliable support as they settle into their new routine.
The role will involve assisting with the children’s daily schedules, including school drop-offs in the morning between 8–9am and afternoon pick-ups between 3–4pm.
Their youngest, B3, currently attends daycare four days per week from approximately 8/9am–4pm. As a result, there will be a significant portion of the day when the children are not at home. The family are also considering reducing his daycare days to two or three per week depending on how he adapts to having a Nanny.
During these hours, the Nanny will help ensure the smooth running of the household through tasks such as meal preparation, general tidying, errands, and changing bedding. The family also have a weekly cleaner, so no deep cleaning is required. The parents will provide guidance for family meals and would appreciate a Nanny who enjoys cooking and can prepare simple, wholesome dinners for the family.
After school, the children may have clubs or activities on certain days, and the Nanny will assist with transport, supervision, and helping them transition into the evening routine. This may include quiet time, dinner preparation, and occasionally supporting the bath and bedtime routine depending on finishing times.
B3 is an active and inquisitive little boy who enjoys movement and play, and the family would love the Nanny to support activities such as swimming lessons.
Each of the children has their own unique interests. G10 enjoys learning the guitar, crafts, baking, and reading. While a little reserved at first, she is sociable and enjoys spending time with friends. B7 is outgoing, kind-hearted, and enjoys swimming, skating, and football (soccer). B3 is energetic, curious, and affectionate. All three children enjoy imaginative play and thrive with a Nanny who is engaging and supportive of their individual interests.
The family have previously had two long-term Nannies and understand the importance of building a positive and respectful relationship with their caregiver. They are looking for someone experienced in nannying who is organised, flexible, and supportive of the parents’ approach to parenting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with school drop-offs between 8–9am and afternoon pick-ups between 3–4pm
- Providing attentive care for B3 when he is not attending daycare
- Supporting children with after-school activities, clubs, and outings
- Supervising and engaging the children in age-appropriate play and activities, including imaginative play
- Supporting activities such as swimming lessons for B3
- Preparing wholesome family dinners (with guidance from parents)
- Running light household errands such as supermarket trips or general errands
- Maintaining a tidy and organised home environment through general tidying
- Changing bedding and assisting with basic household organisation (no deep cleaning required as the family have a weekly cleaner)
- Helping the children transition into the evening routine, including quiet time and occasional support with bath and bedtime depending on finishing time
- Communicating clearly with parents and working collaboratively within the family home
- Supporting the children’s individual interests and encouraging their development and independence
If you are interested in this position and feel you'd be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you! Please either email Isabel your CV (Isabel@dream.co.nz), or apply directly online.

Role: Nanny
Type of Work: Part Time Nanny
Rate: $32+
Job Description:
2 days (13hrs)
Tue, Wed or Wed, Thu
Requires consecutive days
Start Date:
April 2026
Hours:
10am - 4:30pm
Children:
B6 months, G3
Description:
We are currently seeking a warm, capable, and proactive Nanny to support a relaxed and welcoming family. This role centres around caring for a happy, smiley, and placid 6-month-old boy while also helping the household run smoothly during the baby’s nap times.
Mum works from home and is looking for someone she can rely on to provide attentive care for her son while he is awake, and to stay on top of light household tasks when he is sleeping. The baby is currently breastfed and is in the process of adjusting to bottle feeding, so the family would value someone patient and supportive during this transition.
The family also has a 3-year-old daughter who attends kindergarten five days a week and will need to be picked up each day. The kindergarten is within walking distance, and the role will involve caring for both children for the remainder of the afternoon. The position will primarily be sole charge, although Mum will be at home if needed.
In addition to childcare, the family would appreciate support with general household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, vacuuming, and keeping the home tidy during the baby’s naps. Mum is finding it challenging to juggle work and household responsibilities, so someone who naturally takes initiative and enjoys helping a home run smoothly would be a wonderful fit.
The family is open-minded about the type of Nanny who joins them and welcomes applicants from a range of backgrounds. Experience with babies is important, and they are particularly interested in someone who can grow with the role as their son gets older, with the potential for the hours or days to increase in the future. Community is important to this family, and they would love a Nanny who enjoys getting out and about with children, attending activities, and helping the baby engage with the world around him.
Overall, this is a lovely opportunity for a nurturing nanny who enjoys caring for babies, supporting busy families, and becoming a valued part of a warm household.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing attentive, nurturing care for a happy 6-month-old baby boy
- Supporting the baby’s daily routine including feeding, play, naps, and developmental activities
- Assisting with the transition to bottle feeding with patience and care
- Taking the baby out to local activities and engaging with the community
- Kindergarten pick-up for the 3-year-old daughter at 4:30pm (walking distance)
- Caring for both children after kindergarten pick-up
- Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children and supporting family meal prep where helpful
- Staying on top of light household tasks while the baby is asleep
- General housework including tidying, vacuuming, and keeping shared spaces organised
- Children’s laundry and helping maintain a smooth household routine
- Working collaboratively with Mum, who works from home, while being confident in a sole-charge role
- Growing with the family as the role evolves and the baby gets older
If you are interested in this position and feel you'd be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you! Please either email Isabel your CV (Isabel@dream.co.nz), or apply directly online.

The position is ideal for a Nanny who is confident with toddler development and enjoys planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, movement, and exploration.

The ideal Nanny will plan outings such as playgroups, local activities, and outdoor adventures, as well as creative arts and crafts at home to support the child’s development and keep his days engaging and varied.

The family are hoping to have a Nanny in place until their son turns two years old (he is currently 17 months), at which point they will reassess whether he transitions into daycare or continues with a nanny, depending on his development and needs.
Occasional Saturday babysitting would also be appreciated if the nanny is available, although this is not a requirement.
