This warm and relaxed family are seeking a part-time Nanny from now until April, with the role transitioning into a full-time position thereafter.
Both children are currently enrolled full-time at Kindercare, where they have thrived in a structured and social environment. B4 is an active and inquisitive child who enjoys playing soccer and loves building and creating, particularly with Lego and blocks. G1 is very independent and delights in following along with whatever her big brother is doing.

- Transitions into school pick up and drop off for B4 from April
- Full-time care for G1

This returning Dream family is seeking an experienced, long-term Nanny to provide consistent after-school care and calm, capable support for their children. G12 is largely self-sufficient and typically takes the school bus home, with occasional pickups required as needed. Afternoons will include supervising homework, coordinating and transporting the children to after-school activities, and supporting B9, who experiences school anxiety, requiring a Nanny who is patient, emotionally attuned, and confident with school-to-home transitions. Light household duties are part of the role, along with preparing and cooking dinner; the family would particularly love the Nanny to prepare a wholesome family meal to enjoy together in the evenings. This position is best suited to a professional Nanny with proven experience, strong initiative, and a genuine desire to build a long-term, trusting relationship with the family.
Key responsibilities include:
- Afternoon school pickups, including collecting B9 from local primary school (arrival by 2:15pm required due to limited parking)
- Supporting B9 with school-related anxiety and assisting with smooth transitions from school to home
- Supervising homework and after-school routines
- Coordinating and transporting children to after-school activities
- Overseeing G12, who typically travels home via school bus, with occasional pickups as needed
- Preparing and cooking dinner, including a nutritious family meal
- Light household duties related to the children and general household flow
- Providing calm, consistent, and reliable care within a long-term nanny role

Job 7110
Part Time Nanny (Mother Help)
Region: Auckland
Suburb: Remuera
Role: Nanny
Type of Work: Part Time Nanny (Mother Help)
Rate: $35+
Job Description:
Mon-Thu (16hrs)
Start Date:
Mid-March 2026
Flexible for right candidate
Hours:
4pm-8pm
Children:
B1 month, B2, B3, B5, B6
Description:
This busy and loving family is seeking a Mother’s Help to support a busy mum with her five young boys during the afternoons and evenings. This is a shared-care role, with Mum at home, and the focus is on being an extra set of capable, calm hands during the busiest parts of the day. Dad is a busy working professional who often travels for work, so having reliable and consistent support in the afternoons and evenings is especially valued.
The role involves entertaining or supervising the boys as needed while Mum prepares lunchboxes and dinner, assisting with holding the baby while the older boys are settled into bed, and generally helping the household flow more smoothly in the late-day routine. There is potential for occasional evening or weekend work, particularly for special events or when extra support is required.
This family is looking for someone they truly “vibe” with, as the role is very much side-by-side with Mum throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking direction, follows Mum’s lead, and understands boys and their behaviour. Someone who is engaged, enjoys their work, and genuinely wants to be there is essential.
There is room for this role to grow into a larger Nanny position if the right fit is found. The family is not in a rush and is happy to wait for the right person rather than fill the role quickly. They are open to different Nanny backgrounds and styles, but are ideally seeking someone energetic and invested in the role. Someone who truly understands what it's like to be a busy boy Mum!
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working alongside a parent, thrives in a lively household, and is looking for a role with long-term potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Entertaining, supervising, and engaging the children as required during afternoons and evenings
- Supporting Mum while she prepares meals and lunchboxes
- Assisting with baby care, including holding or settling the baby during bedtime routines
- Helping manage evening transitions and bedtime for the older boys
- Following mum’s lead and working collaboratively alongside her
- Creating a calm, positive, and supportive environment in a busy household
If you are interested in this position and feel you'd be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you! Please either email Isabel your CV (Isabel@dream.co.nz), or apply directly online.

Job 7020
Part Time Nanny
Region: Auckland
Suburb: Grey Lynn
Role: Nanny
Type of Work: Part Time Nanny
Rate: $33+
Job Description:
Thu,Fri (18hrs)
+ Wednesday in April (27hrs)
Start Date:
ASAP
Hours:
7:45/8am - 5/5:30pm
Children:
B1.5, G2.5 (at start date)
Description:
This family is seeking part-time care for their B1.5, starting with 2 days per week and later moving to 3 days. Their older daughter, G2.5, will be at daycare during the day, so the primary focus of care will be for B1.5, with some daycare pickups required when needed.
They are far more focused on finding the right fit for their family than on experience alone—therefore, all applicants are welcome. Their priority is a caregiver who genuinely connects with their children and aligns with their parenting approach.
Their parenting style follows a gentle, responsive, and child-led approach. They have a loose routine but are not rigid—B1.5 naturally creates his own schedule, and they prefer to follow his cues rather than stick to fixed rules like “must have a nap at 11.” They value independence, confidence-building, and saying “yes” as often as possible, avoiding “no” unless truly necessary.
Creative play is encouraged, and they are intentional about understanding what their child is experiencing. When upset, B1.5 is usually given space first and then offered a cuddle. Their goal is for their children to be happy, and they are completely comfortable with the house getting messy in the process. In fact, they would much rather B1.5 be dirty from a day full of fun than have a spotless house and a bored toddler.
While the main focus of the role is childcare, some light housekeeping would be appreciated if possible—but it is absolutely not a priority.
B1.5 loves music, enjoys being in the garden with water, and is especially drawn to plants and flowers. He also loves his morning walk and is used to having one every day, so the family would love to see this routine continue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide nurturing, attentive care for B1.5, including feeding, play, and nap routines
- Organise and complete kindy pick-ups for G2.5
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, both at home and out in the community
- Foster a safe, positive, and fun environment
- Assist with light meal preparation
- Maintain a tidy and organised play and eating area throughout the day
- Communicate openly with parents about the children’s routines, milestones, and well-being
If you are interested in this position and feel you'd be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you! Please either email Isabel your CV (Isabel@dream.co.nz), or apply directly online.
